The New Parish of the
Transfiguration
On Friday, July 1, 2005, after listening to the proposal of St. Ann’s and St. Rocco’s Parishes and the recommendation of the Executive Board of Parish Energies, accepted our request that we become one Parish with a new name. Thus we are now ONE Catholic Parish of the Transfiguration.
The Archbishop John J. Myer, J.C.D., D.D, also allowed us to continue with the two worship sites. The Parish has changed – but not the name of the Church buildings. The Church buildings will continue to carry the names given to them at the time of their dedication. However, from now on St. Ann’s Church is Parish Church of the Catholic Parish of the Transfiguration.
La nueva Parroquia de
la Transfiguración
El viernes, Julio 1 de 2005, después de escuchar la propuesta de las parroquias de Santa Ana y San Rocco y la recomendación de la Comisión Ejecutiva de las Nuevas Energías de Parroquias, el Arzobispo aceptó nuestra petición: formalizarnos como una Parroquia nueva y con un nombre nuevo. De tal manera, ahora nosotros somos “La Parroquia Católica de la Transfiguración”.
El Arzobispo nos permitió continuar usando los dos lugares para la adoración y el servicio de los fieles. El nombre de la Parroquia ha cambiado, pero no el nombre de los edificios de las iglesias. Los edificios de las iglesias seguirán llevando los nombres que les han dado desde el tiempo de su dedicación. Pero la Iglesia de “Santa Ana” es ahora la Iglesia Parroquial de la Parroquia Católica de la Transfiguración.
